Pu-erh

Is a completely different art as it is considered an aged tea.

It first undergoes a process similar to Green tea, but before the leaf is dried, it's aged either as loose-leaf tea or pressed into dense cakes and decorative shapes. Pu'erh is a fermented tea (and the use of 'fermentation' is correct here, although not the type which produces alcohol.

They are prized for their earthy, woodsy or musty aroma both in the dry leaf aroma and the brewed liquor with rich, smooth taste. It is recommended to rinse/wash oolong prior to steeping.


Pu-erh

A youthful pu-erh that imparts a typical musty, earthy character profile that can be described as old or elemental.

Ingredients: Black tea, Pu-erh style (1 year vintage).

Pu'erh Tea

This black pu-erh tea is hand harvested from wild and semi-wild broad leaf antique tea trees located in the Yunnan province of China. Pu-erh is often referred to as “cooked” due to the fact that sun-dried green tea leaves are transformed through natural fermentation from a greenish-golden color to a blackish-red tone. 

Deep and earthy, with light notes of smoke and moss.

Ingredients: Black tea, Pu-erh style.
